Pack Synergy. A creature has disadvantage on a saving throw caused by the Nadeocyte shocker if at least one of the Nadeocyte shocker’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.
Discharge. The Naedocyte shocker delivers an electric pulse to one creature within 5 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw or take 2 (1d4) lightning damage and have their speed reduced by 5 feet until the end of their next turn.
Naedocyte shockers have very simple tactics: completely encircle a target, use their discharge attack.
“Electricity is a temperamental thing, being equally able to help and hinder you. If you find your heart has stopped after receiving an electric shock, try touching whatever gave you the shock again. If you’re lucky, it will restart your heart. If it doesn’t work, your electrocuted corpse will warn future miners that what you’re grabbing is dangerous – helping to keep the mines a safe work environment.” – An excerpt from the mining company’s employee guide, chapter 180: ‘Electricity and You’.
Naedocyte shockers look similar to jellyfish with a central body surrounded by four short limbs which end in glowing cyan shock pads. The majority of a Naedocyte shocker’s body consists of their bulbous cyan coloured electro-organs that create the static charge that powers their levitation and attacks. The rest of their body is composed of fleshy pink flaps and ailerons that stabilise the Naedocyte shocker in the air.
